Job Description
We are seeking candidate for an Ophthalmic Technician position to become a part of our team! Experience is preferred but not necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Work up patients (take a medical history, check vision, eye pressures, etc.)
- OCT and VF testing
- Assist patients when necessary
- Assist the doctors with procedures and entering exam information in EMR
- Send prescriptions electronically or manually
- Communicate pertinent patient information to designated departments
- Send correspondence to referring physicians
- Supply patient education.
Qualifications:
- Experience as an ophthalmic technician, OCT and VF testing is a plus but not necessary
- Experience in performing FP/FA is a plus.
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well with others
- Patience with the elderly and those needing additional assistance
- Need to speak Spanish
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
