Responsibilities:
- Perform preliminary eye examinations and diagnostic tests under the supervision of an ophthalmologist or optometrist.
- Record patient medical history, including any allergies, medications, and previous surgeries.
- Assist with patient education and provide instructions for post-operative care.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment for procedures.
- Perform visual acuity tests, visual field tests, and tonometry measurements.
- Assist with contact lens fittings and adjustments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as an Ophthalmic Technician preferred.
- Previous experience in a medical setting, preferably in ophthalmology or optometry.
- Knowledge of ophthalmic equipment and procedures.
- Familiarity with medical coding and billing practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record patient information.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and patient care.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
