Ophthalmic Technician (Cedar Park, TX)
Texas Vision has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Ophthalmic Technician to join our ophthalmology practice (and work-family!) in the Cedar Park area.
Our Ophthalmic Technicians serve as ophthalmologist-extenders that help us fulfill our mission to provide the very best care and experience for our patients. Furthermore, this role will often be the first and the last impression that each patient has within our office. Because of this, it’s a very important position within our practice, where you can have an immediate impact on patients.

Ophthalmic Technician Duties
- Triage patients and record consistent and accurate documentation of patient's medical history
- Take initiative to ensure patients are seen in a timely manner.
- Obtain the patient’s chief complaint and screen (e.g., visual acuity, confrontational visual fields, measure IOP, pupillary check, ocular motility, dilate pupils, check blood pressure, etc.)
- Communicate with team members, team leader, and physician about patient care and efficiency
- Communicate with patients using a caring tone and provide thorough communication before and after their visit with the physician, providing education as needed
- Prep exam room and patient charts for physician
- Perform diagnostic testing, such as OCT, IOL Master, Topography, and Refraction.
- Prep for and assist with in-office procedures as needed
- Potential opportunities to assist in In-Office Surgery! (LASIK and Cataract Surgeries!)
Qualifications
- Previous Experience Providing Patient Care in the medical field (Preferred)
- Fluent in Spanish (Recommended)
- Ophthalmic Experience, 6 months (Required)
- Growth-Oriented, Willingness to Learn
- Works Well in a Team Environment, #OneTeam
- Willing to travel between locations as needed.

Pay:
- $19.00 - $20.00 per hour (Potential for more depending on experience!)
