We're searching for a driven individual who can help us streamline daily operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to production schedules across all departments.
The operations specialist should be comfortable communicating with people throughout the organization, able to solve problems and improvise as needed, and adept at estimating and managing time for a variety of tasks. The ideal candidate is a natural coordinator who has a strong sense of big-picture objectives and a sharp eye for detail. Objectives of this role Develop and implement department-wide quality control measures, as well as streamlining inspection and inventory processes Recommend new procedures for increasing the efficiency of day-to-day operations Maintain communication with Operations Manager, Plant Manager, Quality Engineers, and Director of Quality to ensure adherence to internal procedures across key touch points Assist the operations manager in developing, planning, and coordinating operational activities Oversee inventory management practices and improve them when necessary Ensure that operations are in compliance with relevant regulations (AS9100, ISO9001, ITAR, FAR, etc.) Responsibilities Monitor day-to-day operations, report on performance, and recommend actionable improvements when necessary Coordinate inspection workflow and improve processes when necessary; candidate will have a firm understanding of quality assurance inspection procedures (IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600, FAA 145 Repair station) and will regularly perform receiving, in-process, and out-of-plant clearance inspection duties Create procedures and protocols (such as checklists and work instructions) and distribute to logistics work cells, as well as improving current inspection procedures Communicate and coordinate with materials management teams, operations managers, and manufacturing work cells Onboard and train new employees to ensure that they adhere to standard operating procedures Required skills and qualifications Proven organizational skills, including time management and process improvement Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Self-sufficiency and an ability to work with minimal supervision in ambiguous environments Strong verbal and written communication skills Attention to detail Preferred skills and qualifications Two-year degree and three years of experience in an operational or similar role Three years Aerospace quality experience, specifically IPC-A-600 or -610 certification, or similar quality control inspection procedures Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and MRP software PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must have excellent manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination, able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time, and will at times be required to work with some chemical and bonding agents.
