Responsibilities:
- Work with Lean Manufacturing Specialist / Lean Manufacturing Manager and use LEAN improvement methods to insure the most efficient layout of work cells through easy moving/standing operations and optimization of cell procedures and product flow.
- Supports the regional and global strategy implementation when it comes to manufacturing, product portfolio, and technological development.
- Investigates and review all quality information from various sources; coordinate and disseminate this information to appropriate personnel, through documentation and visual controls, to achieve scrap reduction and variance elimination.
- Directs, trains, and coordinates area personnel in the most effective and efficient procedures for problem-solving and task completion to manufacture a world-class quality product.
- Implement with the support of Lean Manufacturing Specialist / Lean Manufacturing Manager “Lean Philosophies” including One-piece flow, setting, and monitoring Standard Work in Process, dedicating labor and equipment, production smoothing, and 5S principles.
- Works closely with functional areas such as Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, and Sales to meet goals, resolve issues, and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Promotes cross-functional communication at all levels through implementing and maintaining an effective LPMS.
- Counsel and discipline associates in cases of deviations from work and safety standards. Observe and evaluate associates and identify underperformers as well as exceptional performers and provide feedback to associates, Facility Manager and Human Resources.
- Champion LEAN Programs and employee involvement in Kaizen events. Adheres to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and Quality guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Four-year degree or equivalent related field/manufacturing experience.
- Proven track record in industrial business of delivering results for at least 5+ years in progressive responsible positions.
- Multi-year experience in leading complex CNC production operation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Basic knowledge of CNC operation and capabilities.
- Project management, budgeting, and resource allocation skills.
- Excellent networking skills.
- Manage inventory of machine tools and parts.
- Review blueprints and inspect parts to ensure product quality and correctness.
- Machinery troubleshooting and basic project management.
- Reverse engineer parts and convert part dimensions to metal dimensions.
