Job Description
Expectations:
The Operations manager is responsible for the safety, quality, and productivity of outdoor recreational manufactured products from beginning to end including all supporting departments and operations which may include CNC operations, Prepreg lamination process, wood fabrication, assembly, and other manufacturing processes to be included at a later date
Specific Responsibilities:
Passion To lead.

o Ensures customer quality standards are adhered to and related issues are responded to promptly.
o Expected to work closely with all production teams within Manufacturing to meet quality and production goals based on the production plan in support of Customer Orders.
o Analyze data and performance metrics to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
Develop and implement data-driven solutions to address operational challenges and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
Proactively anticipate and mitigate risks to ensure smooth operations and continuity.
Lead by example and foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, unity, and waste reduction.
Build and manage high-performing teams, providing guidance, coaching, and support.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to manage workflow, understand business forecasts, anticipate headcount needs, and plan operations accordingly to meet or exceed organizational goals.
Establishes daily labor adjustments needed to meet production schedules, using knowledge of the capacities of machines and equipment.
o Set daily operation schedules to ensure 100% on-time delivery.
o Find and expedite any items that are behind schedule ensuring delivery on time.
o Adjust labor needed for the daily schedule to meet production demands.
o Foster a culture of open communication, feedback, and transparency within the operations team and across departments.
o Collect and report production and quality data regularly to support data analysis and continuous improvement efforts initiated and maintained by the company, understand the metrics, and recommend improvements based on the data.
o Manage the employee resources within the various operations daily to support production requirements.
o Expected to act as a leader in the company. Manages by setting an example.
Effectively communicate information throughout the company
Create reports, using supporting data and facts to communicate concerns to other departments and management.
Schedule department meetings regularly clearly communicating improvements, goals, and objectives.
Provide oversight and direction to employees.
Work closely with other departments in problem-solving issues.
o Audit standard work practices and regularly review them for effectiveness.
o Work with maintenance to ensure preventative maintenance is done on time and report any concerns immediately.
o Provide quality control and quality assurance guidance to staff as needed.
o Identify/specify relevant quality-related and workmanship standards training needs.

o Lead change initiatives effectively, managing resistance and fostering a positive attitude towards continuous improvement.
o Adapt to evolving business needs, market dynamics, and industry trends by implementing flexible operational strategies.

o Fills vacancies, and absentee positions within the Department to ensure daily demands will be supported.
Perform Administrative tasks and projects as assigned.
o Basic material handling, moving material from storage area to area of operation.
Heavy lifting is required at times (weight can vary from 5 lbs. to 85 lbs.) with teamwork when necessary.
Industry Expertise
o Three to five years' experience in a manufacturing environment
o Three to five years' experience in a management-type role.
o Extended knowledge of the department and processes department expert or dependable resource for other team members.
o Extended experience with operations of CNC and Prepreg lamination equipment.
o Extended knowledge of hand/power tools
o knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, 5S, and Kaizen

Skills and Experience Required:
Must have a Bachelor's degree in business or a technical discipline and experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or other defined Production systems
Experience in the outdoor market helpful
Computer skills are a must including but not limited to
o InfoR or other ERP systems
o Excel, Word, Project,
o Google Meet, Calendar, Sheets,
Excellent planning/execution skills
Excellent troubleshooting/problem-solving skills

Work Environment
Workers are required to wear safety gear, such as safety glasses, Steel steel-toed shoes, and often required to wear safety gear such as gloves and hearing protection,. Depending on the materials and equipment involved, team members will experience exposure to loud noise or hazardous fumes, high heat work environment, chemicals, oils, or particles from various sources, including petroleum products, , burning plastics, metal filings, sawdust, paint or industrial cleaners. Workers must also pay attention at all times, as assembly line tools and machinery can potentially inflict serious injury as the result of negligence or breakdown.
