OPERATIONS MANAGER
* Large food and beverage organization with 86 locations, 30,000 employees worldwide and $28 billion in sales is hiring due to an expansion
* They are looking to hire the successor for the plant manager who can be groomed to take over the Plant Manager role in 2-4 years
* The OperationsManager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing, quality, and packaging.

* Salary is 110K - 120K + 20% bonus
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Reports to the Plant Manager, this position will manage the blending, mixing and batching departments
* Directly supervise all production and production support operations and drives CI activities and initiatives during the process.
* Proactively and regularly develops and manages team members performance and capabilities, based upon company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
* Assist the Plant Manager and Director of Operations in establishing and monitoring overall plant performance for production and quality control standards in accordance with Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies.
* Provide leadership and training to accomplish plant/company goals and objectives in accordance with companies Standard operating procedures.
* Assist in development, and implements safety awareness programs, communicates safety issues, corrects safety related problems, and assists in investigations into safety related issues as needed and as directed.
* Perform other or specified duties as directed by the Plant Manager, or other appropriate management personnel.
REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required; ideally in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related
* 7 + years experience in a manufacturing environment is required, prefer experience with chemicals, foods, beverages, paints, solvents, oils, foods, consumer products or related environments.
* 5 + years of applicable manufacturing leadership work experience
* Fundamental knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing process improvement techniques
* Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, technical aptitude, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive manufacturing process improvement techniques throughout the production process in a skillful and deliberate manner.
* Strong team skills, including the ability to coach and develop work teams and provide appropriate training on CI methods and initiatives to subordinates.
* The ability to motivate/empower others, and resolve conflict, and possess a basic understanding of management principles and concepts.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills up and down the organizational hierarchy.
* Must be flexible and able to manage multiple priorities on a daily basis.
* Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office and other position applicable software applications.
