Position Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the operations at all facilities and handling customer communication. They also establishing policies, communization, goals, objectives and procedures, and oversee the entire personnel process. Also responsible for ensuring contract fulfillment, negotiations, product pricing, and readjustments as needed.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Oversees Multiple Site Operations
- Oversees/manages key suppliers and service providers
- Interfaces with Site Managers of various sites to assess/align goals, expectations and provide training and technical assistance
- Provides team leadership for all direct/indirect reports to provide most efficient, best service for customer
- Works to lower operating costs at all sites
- Interfaces with Customer Contacts at various plant and corporate level providing assistance, negotiations, and targeting
- Oversees agenda and manages conversation of Toyota conference calls between sites providing sharing of cost savings, issue resolutions, and other items
- Assists Site Managers and Engineers on meeting/exceeding Cost Savings Initiatives for the SOW
- Oversees / assists in the writing of the Technical and Financial Response for RFQ responses
- Analyzes SOW and determines costs and personnel necessary to meet SOW and suggests modifications as needed. Oversees walkthroughs and gathers information into useful format as required
- Handles Contract renegotiations, adjustments, APR pricing, and other applicable documents with Corporate Purchasing
- Travels to sites as required ensuring that all sites are meeting / exceeding the SOW. Oversees state of business (or deep dive cost savings) presentations from chemical management site team
- Continually develops relationships with customer personnel, suppliers/creating communication conduct/obtaining necessary information/providing a high level of understanding of customer(s) requirements/increasing customer service
- Ensuring customer need EOM reports are turned in timely
- Performs other duties as requested

- Possesses high level knowledge of spreadsheet and database software
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of computer
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods and walk within very large industrial environments
- Ability to use computers/peripherals to create spreadsheets/documents/graphs/compose reports and presentations
- Strong organizational skills required for tracking progress of all sites
- Occasional travel required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or Chemistry/Biology/Biochemistry and/or Refinery Engineering preferred
