To ensure our company can support the growing needs of both our customers and employees, we are looking for a new Operations Assistant. In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Drop Shipment Logistics Coordination: As the backbone of this role, you will review orders, identify which items require drop shipment, and prepare drop shipment purchase orders. You will also monitor the lifespans of drop shipped orders and, as the need arises, help identify and resolve any issues that may impede fulfillment
- Operations Administration: You will handle access to any vendor portals our customers may utilize. When necessary, you will complete and/or review any and all necessary prepurchasing forms our customers may require such as tax-exemption forms and vendor registration forms
- Customer Facing Operations Communications: You will serve as a first point of contact, by phone and email, between customers and the operations team regarding matters such as billing, receivables, and order status inquiries
- Industrial Team Support: You will provide administrative support to our industrial sales team, which will primarily consist of preparing documents and entering quotes into our CRM system
- Operations Team Support: As you settle into the role, you may, at times, have to assist other members of the operations department; primarily, this will entail processing purchase orders, but you will also assist in End of Month billing procedures
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous office or administrative work experience, especially in a logistics environment
- B2B relationship experience
- An excellent eye for detail
- Confident written communication skills
- Self-directed organizational skills
- A honed sense of intuition
