We’re looking for an Operations and Maintenance Specialist to help us deliver a vital VA software modernization project.
As an Operations and Maintenance Specialist on our team, you’ll support the national roll-out and implementation of a scheduling SaaS, providing Tier 2 support to users, and reporting operational metrics and tracking. You’ll help clients overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. Your knowledge will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. Your communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and articulate their meaning. We focus on growing as a team, so we’ll techniques, work through challenges, and develop new methodologies together. You Have:
5+ years of experience providing Tier 2 helpdesk support
Experience with customer service and relationship management
Knowledge of IT systems, standards, and procedures
Knowledge of operating systems, devices, applications, and software
Ability to provide technical support to teams within the organization and to external clients when required
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience supporting large enterprise solutions in production, or 8+ years of experience supporting large enterprise solutions in production in lieu of a degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience managing a ticketed query system and ensuring a comprehensive database of queries and resolutions is kept up to date
Experience maintaining and updating technical documents and procedures
Experience identifying and resolving technical issues
Experience delivering regular and customized training to teams within the business
Experience preparing maintenance plans and upgrading schedules for the organization’s systems
Experience developing reports for teams across the business
Knowledge of military and veteran healthcare systems
Ability to work well within a team and be flexible in pivoting to meet team goals

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
