Hours fall between 0600-1830 Monday - Friday
Extended shifts may be considered (10/12 hour shifts)
Saturday rotation within the peer group
No Holidays
This position will cover both the Waukesha and Mukwonago campuses. Floating between the two campuses will be required.
In a single day, staff from 4 specialty based teams work within 16 Operating Room Suites to handle as many as 40 cases ranging from Cardiothoracic, Neuro/Orthopedics/Dental, General/Vascular/ ENT, GYN, Urology, to Plastics surgery. Waukesha Memorial HospitalsOperating Rooms average 8,500 procedures annually including da Vinci Robotic procedures performed within more specialties routinely than any other facility in SE Wisconsin. The OR suite also includes a newly built Hybrid OR and a fully integrated Minimally Invasive Robotic room.
Job Summary
Responsible for all aspects of the EPIC Op-time computer system for scheduling cases, postop data entry, appropriate charges for patients and data retrieval.
Responsibilities
Completes anesthesia assignments daily. Handles add on cases for the day of surgery. Monitors traffic in and out of the department. Assigns lockers to visitors. Answers phones and works under the direction of the charge RN. Assists with communication to staff regarding assignments/changes. Pages & calls staff and physicians when needed. Makes out call schedules. Medical terminology knowledge necessary. Accountable for contributing to smooth daily interactions with all stakeholders (doctors, nurses, techs, assistants, reps, students, ancillary departments, etc.) at the control desk. Duties as assigned.

What You Will Need:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Strong Medical Terminology
