Job Type: PMs - 2nd Shift
Weekly Hours: 40

We Are Hiring: Clinical Nurse - Operating Room Waukesha 1.0 FTE PMs


Schedule:

Scheduled shift will be until 2130
8/10/12 hour shifts will be considered
Call rotation:
1 overnight call shift per week
1 weekend call shift every 6-8 weeks
1-2 holidays/year


In a single day, staff from 4 specialty based teams work within 16 Operating Room Suites to handle as many as 40 cases ranging from Cardiothoracic, Neuro/Orthopedics/Dental, General/Vascular/ ENT, GYN, Urology, to Plastics surgery. Waukesha Memorial Hospitals Operating Rooms average 8,500 procedures annually including da Vinci Robotic procedures performed within more specialties routinely than any other facility in SE Wisconsin. The OR suite also includes a newly built Hybrid OR and a fully integrated Minimally Invasive Robotic room.

Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse II (CN II) is a competent practitioner who integrates theoretical knowledge with clinical experience in the care of patients and families. Care is delivered using a deliberate, systematic approach and practice is guided by increasing awareness of patterns of patient responses in recurrent situations. These nurses demonstrate mastery of most technical skills, and begin to view clinical situations from a patient and family focus as they provide professional nursing care within clinical areas/campuses as required by staffing matrices. These nurses also supervise and direct delegated nursing acts commensurate with educational preparation and demonstrated abilities of the person supervised.

Responsibilities

2. Is learning to establish and practice within the boundaries of therapeutic relationships.
B. CLINICAL KNOWLEDGE AND DECISION-MAKING
1. Demonstrates confidence in delivering Standards of Practice.
2. Provides care based on conscious, deliberate planning.
3. Understands the expected progression of clinical events based on concrete past experience.
4. Desires to limit the unexpected by managing the environment.
5. Assumes an increasing responsibility to advocate for patients and families.
6. Is aware of and applies research-based findings to develop individualized plans of care, based on patient needs and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols, aimed at achieving positive patient and family outcomes.
C. COLLABORATION
1. Recognizes their role and function as a member of the health care team.
2. Delegates to other care givers as a means to help manage the clinical situation.
D. LEADERSHIP
1. Begins to build alliances and channels of collaboration
2. Ensures accountability and results in achieving the organization’s desired outcomes.

What You Will Do:

What You Will Need:

Associate's Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred

Wisconsin Registered Nurse License

Valid American Heart (AHA) Basic Life Support ( BLS) certification.
