Office Support Specialist

Clay County is now accepting applications for a Full-Time Office Support Specialist position through February 16, 2024.   Applicants must possess an associate degree or a two-year college or tech school certification and 1-3 years of prior work-related experience OR 3-5 years of work-related experience in lieu of associate degree, college course work or technical school certificate.  and successfully complete a background investigation.

The Office Support position is responsible for the following duties:

Receptionist duties to include: greet visitors, respond to general inquires, screen and refer visitors based on knowledge of agency programs, policies and procedures. Provide guidance on completion of forms and reviews forms for completeness.  Photocopy or scan documents provided. 
General office duties to include: process incoming and outgoing mail and faxes, scan documents to electronic filing system, maintain and purge paper case files and enter information into and retrieve information from data bases.
Maintain administrative or fiscal data, maintain forms supply and compile form packets for various programs, and assists with training new Office Support staff.        

Starting Salary:  $19.81 per hour.

This position will receive paid vacation and sick time as well as, single health, dental and a $25,000 life insurance policy that are paid for by Clay County
