About Momentum Wheels for Humanity:
Since 1996, Momentum Wheels for Humanity has increased access to mobility and improved quality of life for children, teens, and adults with physical disabilities in more than 60 low- and middle-income countries. We build and strengthen rehabilitation services within health systems through training and capacity building, policy and standards development, and supply and distribution of wheelchairs and other life-changing equipment.
Position Summary:
Momentum Wheels for Humanity (MWH) is seeking an organized Part-Time Bookkeeper/Office Assistant to join the finance team. The ideal candidate is well-organized, self-motivated and able to multitask while maintaining an attention to detail.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software
- Provide administrative support to the team, including answering phones, managing emails and organizing filing systems
- Perform data entry and assist with paperwork processing, ensuring accuracy and organization
- Ensure proper documentation recorded for transactions
- Distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing domestic and international mail
- Email weekly wire confirmations
- Order office supplies
- Answer phone calls and provide general support to visitors as needed
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet department and/or business needs.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- HS Graduate or GED Equivalent; associate's degree preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Must have a working knowledge of modern office technology, equipment, and procedure.
- Must be able to successfully pass all post offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check and reference check
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Non-profit experience, preferred.
- Speak in Spanish, preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Schedule: Day shift (4-hour shift between 8:30am and 4:30pm) , Monday to Friday, Hybrid potential
Compensation Type: Hourly, paid bi-weekly
