TITLE/SALARY GRADE: Office Assistant 2 (Keyboarding) SG-9
DURATION: Permanent
SALARY: $40,193 /annually or current salary or reconstructed salary
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Provide support to Undergraduate Admissions with various keyboarding and clerical tasks including:
- Serves as the Admissions Office receptionist.
- Answer the Office of Admissions telephone lines as well as serve as the college operator.
- Greet visitors and their families in a professional manner.
- Coordinate appointments for Admissions counselors using Outlook Calendar, schedule campus tours, and make appointments for all on and off campus events.
- Primary person to manage the Admissions Calendar, block appointment days, add programs/events as needed.
- Interact and assist in managing the student ambassador volunteers as they arrive to give campus tours.
- Open and date stamp incoming mail. Scan high school and college transcripts into Slate computer system.
- Provide customer service to current students who come to the Admissions Office for assistance with change of major forms or other institutional questions.
- Provide overall support and assist with staffing registration for campus events. This responsibility requires employees to work up to 3-4 Saturdays or Sundays throughout the academic year.
- Use college information systems to independently process your assigned portion of the undergraduate applicant pool.
- Provide assistance with mailings and various other clerical assignments as assigned
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be reachable on current Civil Service Office Assistant 2 (Keyboarding), SG-9 list or currently hold the title of Office Assistant 2 (Keyboarding), SG-9 or a title from which transfer is appropriate. Candidates may be required to demonstrate that they meet the minimum keyboarding proficiency test.
