Quality:

• Develops and implements programs to establish and maintain quality standards of existing products and services, as well as developing programs to focus employees on quality improvement.
• Develops policies, procedures, and methods to check product, material, components and/or operational quality and improve same.

Quality Control

• Responsible for developing and implementing a compliant and cost-effective quality system that assures products and services are reliable, safe and effective
• Generally matched to Quality Assurance in surveys.

Operations Support
The operations support career track contains job that accomplish work through a specialized knowledge or skills gained through a combination of vocational education, training, apprenticeship, and experience.
Tech 2, Quality Control

• Entry level with limited experience.
• Develops skills in basic tasks, techniques and procedures within one skill area/process/method.
• Maintains appropriate licenses/training/certifications, as needed.
• Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps.
• Has basic skills training in an analytical/scientific method or operational process area.
• Works within clearly defined SOPs and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines.
• Works with a high degree of supervision and has minimal discretion.

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Demonstrates knowledge of basic operating procedures for a specific functional area
• High school diploma (preferred)

Degree of accountability

• Accountable for the execution of specific tasks with oversight of a supervisor

Financial Impact

• Has some effect on quality, cost, and/or productivity

Strategic Impact

• Carries out tasks and activities

Sphere of Influence

• Performs a variety of routine and, in some cases, non-routine work of a group or department
• Has little to no discretion and decision making
