Position Summary:
The Nutrition Services Manager will coordinate and execute the food intervention for OFS Food is Medicine (FIM) initiatives. Each FIM program provides a distinct medically tailored food "prescription" developed by a team of Registered Dietitians. The Nutrition Services Manager will execute the prescribed plan by fulfilling food-related needs. This includes procurement and delivery of food provided to program participants and supervision of all support staff and volunteers involved in this effort.

Position Summary:
The Nutrition Services Manager will coordinate and execute the food intervention for OFS Food is Medicine (FIM) initiatives. Each FIM program provides a distinct medically tailored food "prescription" developed by a team of Registered Dietitians. The Nutrition Services Manager will execute the prescribed plan by fulfilling food-related needs. This includes procurement and delivery of food provided to program participants and supervision of all support staff and volunteers involved in this effort.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee sourcing of all food components and packaging for a diverse portfolio of FIM programs, including the Fresh Fork Market, Nourishing Healthy Starts, and Prescribing Healthy Futures, as well as future FIM programs.
- Facilitate receiving, sorting, storage, and inventory of all food products and materials both onsite at OFS and at off-site program locations.
- Utilize staff and volunteer resources efficiently to complete daily operations of packing and delivery of food. Facilitate these tasks when necessary.
- Structure and manage delivery routes, including home delivery to participants and bulk delivery to program partners.
- Collaborate with the FIM team to ensure coverage for all food pick-ups at the OFS facility.
- Following procurement protocols, work with multiple vendors to obtain competitive pricing.
- Ensure accurate financial records and timely processing of payment information for all purchases.
- Supervise, train, evaluate, and mentor employees.
- Schedule, train, and supervise volunteers.
- Research new food and/or delivery models with potential to enhance current or future FIM programs and make recommendations to the program team.
Education and Experience:
- 3+ years' experience in food service management, operations, logistics, procurement, nutrition, and/or public health preferred.
- Experience working on community-based programs.
- Experience working with families and individuals living with food insecurity.
- Minimum of 1 years' experience in people management.
- ServSafe Manager Certification or willingness to complete certification within 90 days of hire.

- Strong communication skills and ability to establish positive interpersonal relationships with OFS team, partners, and stakeholders.
- Flexible working style to accommodate variable program development timelines.
- Detail-oriented with ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
- Ability to work in a self-directed manner and without close supervision.
- Possession of a flexible and growth-based mindset and desire to actively seek out opportunities to learn.
- Demonstrated ability to work in and understand the needs of diverse, multi-cultural populations.
- Training and/or understanding around racial equity, social justice, and Trauma-Informed Care.
- Proficient computer skills with Teams, MS Office, PowerPoint, Google Drive, and Excel.
Special Requirements:
- Valid driver's license.
- Willingness to drive cargo vans for food deliveries within the St. Louis area as needed.
- Flexibility to work evening hours on a regular basis and occasional weekends for special events.
- Willingness to assist with other OFS duties as required or as assigned.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand for up to two hours at a time and lift 40 pounds.
