We are looking for a positive and energetic sales professional with an eagerness to learn, passion for fiduciary and trust services, and a desire to be in a sales role. This position will work on sales initiatives and will work cross functionally with teams of trust professionals, insurance specialists, and marketing professionals. This position offers a competitive base salary with a full benefits package and robust incentive on New Business, no cap on earning potential.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Sell ITM and Life Insurance Trust Company’s products and services
- Cultivate existing client relationships and cross-sell/upsell ITM and Life Insurance Trust Company’s services
- Establish new strategic partnerships with banks, trust companies, accounting firms, and financial institutions.
- Build a network with the professional community including CPA’s, attorneys, RIA’s, and financial advisors to generate sales referrals.
- Acts as a technical expert on ITM/Life Insurance Trust Company’s relevant products and services and/or leverages other internal subject matter experts as required during the sales process.
- Promotes ITM/ Life Insurance Trust Company through industry conferences, trade shows, periodicals, educational opportunities, and webinars as an attendee, speaker, or interviewee.
- Manage and develop business proposals, the sales pipeline, and New Business activity.
- Interface directly with client prospects and their advisors, establish client meetings, and respond to inquiries from prospective clients and their advisors.
- Work directly with our marketing department on establishing marketing materials and developing marketing strategies.
- You will spend 90-95% of your time in sales.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Candidates must be self-driven, with a high level of intensity, and be motivated to drive New Business.
- Experience selling financial services/products is preferred. Will consider other relevant sales experience and/or experience in selling other financial products.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and think critically.
- Ability to be a dynamic member of the team.
- Excellent communication skills and poise giving presentations. Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral.
- Be an outgoing person who can connect and develop meaningful relationships with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds.
- Prior experience dealing with life insurance is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
