Network Specialist

DESCRIPTION
We are a leading provider of technical services, and we are currently seeking a skilled Network Specialist to join our team. The Onsite Technician plays a crucial role, leveraging extensive expertise in direct customer service to deliver top-notch solutions for various clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Client Support:
- Resolve client/server hardware issues promptly.
- Network Management:
- Optimize network infrastructure, including firewalls and switches.
- Troubleshooting and Security:
- Troubleshoot Linux/UNIX systems and implement intrusion detection.
- Cloud Integration:
- Utilize AWS services for seamless on-premise to cloud networking.
- Independence and Conflict Resolution:
- Independently resolve conflicts and influence outcomes.
- Self-Motivation and Standards:
- Work autonomously, maintaining high standards.
- Communication and Documentation:
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and document activities.
- Certification Compliance:
- Maintain relevant certifications, such as CompTIA A+ and AWS Certification.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Seek opportunities for improvement in processes and technologies.
REQUIREMENTS:
Your Skills:
- Detailed knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting for a variety of client/server hardware.
- Solid understanding of networks, including Ethernet, TCP/IP switching, routing, and networking automation.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Work with Linux/UNIX systems (Red Hat preferable) at a user level.
- Proficiency in provisioning firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and controllers.
- Experience in networking fundamentals and the ability to troubleshoot issues using related tools (e.g., ICMP, traceroute, netstat, pcap, etc.).
- Proven track record in implementing network infrastructure, intrusion detection, security incident mitigation, and managing vendor contracts.
- Working knowledge of AWS services specific to connecting on-premise networking to cloud infrastructure.
- Ability to independently influence and resolve conflicts with others.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Insist on the highest standards from oneself and others.
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
- CompTIA A+ Certification desired.
- AWS Certification desired.
