Our local client has an immediate need for a Network Engineer to join their team.
On-site 8AM-5PM, M-F in Spartanburg, SC
Description: This person will join the infrastructure team of 11 with the title of Network Engineer. The Network Engineer will collaborate with the team to complete projects and initiatives and will primarily be responsible for the company’s network across 5 locations, including 1000+ drops, with a technical environment including Cisco 9K series routers and switches and Unified Communications Server.
Day-to-day duties include but not limited to:
Troubleshoot data communications problems on the WAN (Wide Area Network)
A foundational understanding of SD-WAN
Mentor team members on technical issues
In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, EIGRP)
Advanced proficiency in data center infrastructure (servers, storage, networks, switches, routers, etc.)
Advanced proficiency in Cisco IOS
Enforce proper software licensing policies.
Ensure the integrity of data storage and backup systems.
Participate in special projects.
Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation and procedures.
Responsible for LAN/WAN disaster recovery procedures.
Install, order, troubleshoot, configure, and administer company wide applications and LAN devices.
Responsible for network security.
Must haves for the role:
5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco UCCX and/or CallManager
Cisco firewall
SD-WAN
UCS Hyperflex, UCS patching
5. Cisco Fibre Channels/Switches
Pluses for the position:
CCNA or CCNP
Any Linux experience.
Any VMware experience
Data Center/SAN
AWS and/or Azure
