Network Systems Engineer
Location: Charleston, SC
Contract-To-Hire

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Systems Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Microsoft Network and Server Technologies, with a strong emphasis on Active Directory (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022) and Windows Remote Desktop Services or VDI. This role involves significant client interaction, requiring the design of network solutions that meet their unique needs. A strong foundation in network principles, Microsoft Office 365, and a passion for delivering exceptional client service are essential.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Microsoft Network and Server Technologies, including Active Directory (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Remote Desktop Services or VDI (maintenance, setup, configuration, policies), Microsoft Office 365, and strong TCP/IP knowledge, including DNS, DHCP, and VPN configuration. Experience in virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V is advantageous.
  • Design Capability: Ability to design comprehensive network solutions for clients, understanding their networking needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Certifications: Preferred certifications include Network+, Security+, MCSE, and CCNA. While not required, these certifications demonstrate a commitment to professional development and expertise.
  • Communication: Excellent client communication and troubleshooting skills, with a detail-oriented approach to documentation and time tracking.

Essential Duties
  • Design, maintain, and configure network solutions tailored to client needs, including Remote Desktop Services or VDI and Microsoft Office 365 environments.
  • Ensure robust security and efficient performance of all managed networks and servers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, providing outstanding client support.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their network requirements and deliver strategic solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest technologies and best practices in network and server management.
  • This role requires long periods of sitting, with occasional stooping, crawling, and reaching.
  • May involve lifting equipment up to 60 pounds.
  • Normal vision and hearing ranges are necessary.

Education:
  • Associate degree in a related field. Certifications are a plus.
