PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The individual will work as part of a team responsible for the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network/system devices and other associated components.
- Designs, evaluates, recommends, implements, and documents network architecture
- Ensures design, installation, and configuration is compliant with all Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) guidelines
- Installs, configures, and supports network equipment including firewalls and switches
- Ensures network is functionally capable of fulfilling all system requirements as identified by the customer
- Troubleshoots and resolves complex network problems
- Maintains complete technical documentation
- Serves as the Subject Matter Expert regarding these responsibilities
- Monitors Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M), tracking corrective actions until all actions are closed
- Possess or be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level
- Supports Business Development efforts
- This job requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related/similar discipline AND two to four years of work related experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to use a computer and computer software programs, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Production and basic engineering tasks supporting multi-disciplinary teams on control system testing, equipment commissioning, and field testing
- Travel could be 10-15%
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- Experience with Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA), Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client, and network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SpeedGoat, Tenable, WireShark)
