Job Description
- Effectively plans, monitors, and appraises departmental functions. This includes staff coaching, counseling, and disciplining.
- Secures and maintains computer and phone (VOIP) networks to enhance performance and user access.
- Safeguard assets by planning and implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
- Implements strict security measures for computer and information systems.
- Create electronic data backup to prevent loss of information.
- Resolve computer network problems.
- Maintains safe and healthy working environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards; and adhering to legal regulations.
- Directs and prioritizes the workload of subordinate personnel.
- Sustains information systems results by defining, delivering, and supporting information systems; auditing application of systems.
- Directs operations in executing production tasks according to a documented schedule that meets or exceeds program needs.
- Produces detailed timeline for each application release and implements effective project control by monitoring the progress of the software release and reporting the status.
- Enhances information systems results by identifying information systems technology opportunities and developing application strategies.
- Accomplishes financial objectives by determining service level required; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; and initiating corrective action.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; and participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA Degree in Information Systems Science or related field OR Combination of education, training or work experience to demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities for responsibilities in information systems management.
- 3 years’ leadership experience in a comparable institution.
- Strong understanding of Federal and State legal compliance.
- Two (2) years of maintenance experience required.
