Network Administrator

Description

The Engineering, Integration and Operations business area of Leidos has an opening for a Network Administrator. Working in QATAR, the appointed individual must possess the qualifications to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair standard voice, data, and video network infrastructure systems, IP detection systems, and cryptographic equipment. Their responsibilities include performing, coordinating, integrating, and supervising network design, configuration, operation, restoration, and improvements. They analyze capabilities and performance, identify problems, and take corrective action. The individual is proficient in fabricating, terminating, and interconnecting wiring and associated network infrastructure devices, managing infrastructure devices and systems using the latest approved software tools.

Furthermore, they isolate malfunctions using diagnostic software, technical data, block diagrams, voltage and waveform measurements, and other tests that require specialized test equipment. Monitoring the performance of systems and circuits is part of their duties. They coordinate with the Department of Defense (DoD) to analyze and isolate performance faults and implement corrective actions. The individual maintains and administers network and circuit databases, records, and forms. They interpret sketches and layout drawings for the placement of distribution systems, coordinate service order requests, and implement changes to communications-computer systems installations records (CSIR), technical data, engineering drawings, and equipment wiring diagrams. Additionally, they update and verify entries on system, maintenance, and inspection records, as well as initiate, track, and maintain shipping, receiving, supply, and equipment documents.

Maintain systems such as Battlespace Command and Control Center Theater (BC3-T) Operation Center, Joint Range Extension (JRE), Air Defense Systems Integrator (ADSI), Tactical Display Framework (TDF), Digicomp systems, EPLRS, MIDS terminal, KIV-7, KG-40, TACLANE, KY-100, KIV-19A, LMS, SAS, DTS-K, RARITAN KVM, Blue Force Tracker, ADS-B, KSV-21, AN/VRC 103, KG-175D, JR2, and others.

Basic Qualifications

Experience:

Minimum 3 years’ experience on network administration and IA technology or related area.

Certifications Required:

8570 Certification: IAT Level II

Other: VMWARE VCP Network Virtualization; CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
