Network Administrator

We are seeking for a Network Administrator to maintain various reliable, secure and efficient data communications networks, provide on-site and remote network administrative support and coordination to a complex series of on-premise networks and secure cloud service offerings. The ideal candidate will deploy, configure, maintain and monitor all active network equipment in order to ensure smooth network operation, and support the administrative and operational functions of assigned networks including information security. The candidate will maintain service records and files and perform other duties as assigned.

• Assessing client systems and requirements to develop/recommend design and technology enhancements
• Fully supporting, configuring, maintaining and upgrading corporate and government customer networks and in-house servers both on-premise and remotely
• Installing and integrating new server hardware and applications
• Keeping an eye out for and applying needed updates and patches
• Conducting security and operations monitoring
• Support and administer third-party applications
• Ensure network security and connectivity
• Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, and latency) and test for weaknesses
• Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords
• Resolve problems reported by end user
• Define network policies and procedures
• Specify system requirements and design solutions
• Research and make recommendations on network device and server system administration

• BSc Degree in Computer Science or related field is a plus
• Proven experience in a Network Administrator role
• Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching
• Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure
• Experience with firewalls, internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired
• Ability to set up and configure server hardware
• Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
