Position Summary
The Network Administrator will provide administration, configuration, operations, and maintenance services for the voice, trunked radio, and video-teleconferencing portions of the NEC at Picatinny Arsenal.
Individuals must be able to attain and maintain a valid US Government security clearance to be retained in the position.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides access to service for the transmission of official government business to include on the post, local commercial, and DSN.
- Provides network administration support to include configuration, updates, monitoring, troubleshooting, installations, and modifications in compliance with security and organizational policies and procedures; complete tasks as assigned
- Designs implements and supports network solutions.
- Provide dial tone service (voice, data, ip) on government property to connect to any location worldwide. (Does not include usage by customer).
- Provides Dual Tone Multi-Frequency (DTMF) type telephones.
- Operates and maintains, Voice over Secure Internet Protocol (VoSIP) telephone and Unified Capabilities (UC) service
- Provides telephone moves, adds, and changes for MCA/SRM/Projects other than construction.
- Provides local touch labor (troubleshooting, repairing, changing cable pairs, etc.).
- Operates, and maintains digital, Voice over Secure Internet Protocol (VoSIP) telephone and UC service
- Resolves Service Requests and User Incidents through remote administration actions (troubleshooting, repairing) that do not require touch labor.
- Operates and maintains the VoIP Local Session Controller for the installation infrastructure.
- Configures and installs digital, Voice over Secure Internet Protocol (VoSIP) telephone and UC service

Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field
- Level I: Minimum of 2 years' experience in an IT environment.
- Level II: Minimum of 2 - 5 years' experience in an IT environment.
- Level III: Minimum of 5 years' experience in an IT environment.
- Senior Level: Minimum of 7 years' experience in an IT environment.
- Possess or able to obtain an IAT Level III certification: CompTIA Security+, CISCO (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, SACS, CWCS, CCM)
