S3 Inc. is seeking a Network Administrator to support our Corporate IT department at our HQ in Cummings Research Park, Huntsville, AL.
Position Description:
The Network Administrator will be responsible for performing maintenance and upgrade of both LAN and WAN networks, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and network management systems. Will monitor network connectivity and ensure high quality data transmission, analyze local and wide area network systems, to include testing, configure communication media with routers, switches, firewalls and other devices, and, configure routine systems to user environments. Will spearhead planning, researching, evaluating, designing and developing plans for network systems and conduct internal studies and research. Will support acquisition of hardware and software, as well as, subcontractor services as needed, and provide technical support to various departments and users. May serve as liaison with vendors and other third-party providers, serve as technical lead for lower level employees, and assist in proposal prep for new solutions.
Experience/Skills Required:
- Must have at least 8 years of IT network engineering experience providing technical assistance, guidance, training, and system documentation for system users in a DOD funded contractor facility, or, a government facility.
- Direct experience required will include: knowledge of Microsoft Office Products to include Visio; administering two-factor authentication systems;
- Corporate Level AS9100D, ISO 9001:2015, and ISO 14001:2015; DFARS processes and POAM management;
- Knowledge of layer 2 switching, such as access interfaces and 802.1q trunking;
- Experience with OSI 7 layer model; and, experience with Static, Dynamic, and Layer 3 routing.
Education Required: Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems.
Security Clearance Required: Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Certifications/Licenses: Security ; Network ; CCNA, and, Server .
