Job Description
- Participate in the acquisition and implementation of new network hardware, software, and security products.
- Participates in problem management activities such as issue resolution and root cause analysis.
- Coordinates infrastructure support with Network and Systems Engineers.
- Plans, tests, and implements upgrades and changes in coordination with information technology team, City staff and vendors.
- Helps set and maintain relationships with network service providers.
- Monitors network status, security alerts and related applications.
- Participates in creation and maintenance of documentation and support procedures for individual technologies.
- Assists in maintaining compliance of regulatory and licensing requirements.
- Participates in efforts to implement network updates including upgrades, patches, and new releases.
- Assists in the development and maintenance of network reporting, analytics, and governance.
- Performs other duties as apparent or assigned.
- Assists with network project work, including identifying and communicating information about impacts and impediments to other IT work.
- Works on assignments with minimal technical direction.
- Demonstrates independence in researching solutions.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Ability to work with Network Engineer to prioritize allocated workload.
- Excellent communication and client support skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail with superior time and process management skills.
- Excellent project management skills and abilities.
- At least five years of experience in enterprise application/systems administration.
- At least five years of experience deploying and configuring Cisco networking appliances.
- Strong writing and documentation skills.
- Experience with MDM, MFA, ADFS, and SSL Certificates.
- Experience with a Windows Active Directory environment.
- Excellent problem solving/analytical skills, knowledge of analytical tools, and complex troubleshooting methods.
- CCNA Certificate or equivalent certification.
- VMWare experience.
- Experience with CLI scripting, Linux, VPN.
- Experience with Teams, SharePoint, Office365.
- CCNE Certificate.
