Position Summary:
The IT Network Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day security, maintenance, and operation of the organization’s IT infrastructure assets. This includes installing, configuring, optimizing, and supporting all new and existing network hardware, servers, and communication links. This role is also responsible for the security remediations that come out of the vulnerability scans in addition to managing the organization’s telecom and internet providers.

- IT Network & Infrastructure Operations: The IT Network Administrator assist with the design and deployment of new IT network hardware and infrastructure. This position also oversees and maintains the day-to-day availability, capacity, continuity, and security of the GESMN network environment and related infrastructure.
- IT Security: The IT Network Administrator plays a key role in the execution of the organization’s IT security strategy and its ongoing alignment with the organization’s business objectives.

- Typical starting pay range: $35.00 - $42.00

About You:
Required Knowledge & Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft business software, including Windows Server, SQL Server, Exchange, SharePoint and Azure Services
- Knowledge of Microsoft client software, (through current OS’s), Office Suite, Office 365
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (either Hyper-V or VMWare)
- Expert knowledge of Meraki/Cisco Hardware
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, common network infrastructure components (e.g. firewalls, routers, switches, etc.) and the function of common IP-based protocols (e.g. Telnet, FTP, SSH, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
- Knowledge of current protocols and standards, including Active Directory, Group Policies, Linux security, Cloud security, Core Switching/Roung, SSL/IPSec, SAN, Virtualization
- Strong ability to develop and maintain highly detailed and accurate process and procedure documentation, as well as both physical and logical infrastructure topology diagrams
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware such as servers, routers, switches, firewalls
- Knowledge of configuring security systems, analyzing security requirements, and recommending improvements
- Knowledge of vulnerability and penetration tests, identify and defending against threats
- High attention to detail
Prior Experience & Education:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience installing, configuring, and using infrastructure monitoring and management tools
- Minimum 3 years’ experience of Network Administration in a large Active Directory environment.
- Minimum 3 years’ supporting IT infrastructures that leveraged virtualization and storage technologies
- Minimum 3 years’ supporting and or preforming vulnerability and network security tests.
- Experience working with Meraki MX Firewalls MS Switches and switch stacks
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Security+ preferred

- Meraki MCMS preferred
