The National Account Director will engage with existing accounts to oversee and nurture ongoing business while also identifying and pursuing growth opportunities. Additionally, they will develop and execute strategies to penetrate new clients and channels to sell Harbor’s products and services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee and promote business relationships with their accounts, exceeding customer’s expectations.
Travel will be required for appointments with prospective customers (1-2 trips per month) and to Harbor’s HQ in Grand Haven, MI once per quarter
Collaborate with development, marketing, sales coordinators and manufacturing to ensure the successful launch and acceptable performance of solutions
Maintain a growth mindset, take independent initiative, and also work in a highly collaborative manner with management and internal teams to ensure the successful sale of custom and stock solutions
Remain current on Harbor products and services, as well as general methodologies and practices, and suggest new products/services gathered from sales activities
Effectively use the company CRM tool to document lead activity, customer interaction, sales management and forecasting
Ability to manage client expectations, negotiate pricing and timing, and problem solve unexpected issues in a positive manner that maintains client trust and confidence in Harbor
Other duties may be assigned at any time
Education and/or Experience
Bachelors in Business, Sales or Marketing required, and Five (5) to Seven (7) years’ experience in a related industry in a sales or sales support capacity, or a combination of education and experience.
Highly skilled business developer with strong relationships within Fortune 500 Companies that they can leverage and a consistent year over year book of business at more than 5 million dollars
Experience with shopper, brand and retailer requirements needed to develop successful in-store solutions
Experience with retail display and fixture design, prototyping, estimating, engineering, production, and rollout requirements
Proficient in CRM and Google Applications
A passion for sales and a drive to stay up to date on trends within the industry and selling methodologies
