* Front Desk/ Medical Assistant Full Time

Job Summary 

The Front Desk/Medical Assistant is responsible for interacting with patients  in our healthcare setting and managing administrative tasks for the medical team. Duties include but not limited to scheduling patient appointments according to availability, explaining intake forms to new patients, and processing payments after treatment, taking vitals and room preperation. 

Education and Experience

High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)

Associates or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration preferred

Primary Job Duties

• Operate telephone to answer, screen, or forward calls, providing information, taking messages, or scheduling appointments.
• Collect Co-pay
• File and maintain records.
• Provide information about establishment, such as location of departments or offices, employees within the organization, or services provided.
• Collect, sort, distribute, or prepare mail, messages, or courier deliveries.
• Greeting patients professionally both in person and on the phone
• Quickly answering or properly referring questions and issues
• Notifying providers of patient arrivals
• Comforting patients by anticipating anxieties and effectively answering questions
• Maintaining office inventory and equipment by anticipating supply needs and expediting supply orders
• obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician.
• Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
• Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
