JOB SUMMARY
Our organization is seeking an experienced, dedicated, and personable individual to join our FRONT DESK receptionist team. The ideal candidate will have an outgoing and energetic personality, excellent administrative skills and a history of working in a fast-paced office environment. We are looking for a candidate who has excellent interpersonal skills, maintains a pleasant demeanor, and can prioritize their workload.
This position will perform receptionist/clerical duties to support overall operating efficiency and effective flow of communication and information throughout the clinic. In this role, the incumbent will ensure that all reports and chart forms are scanned or filed into the patient’s record. This position works under clinic supervision and has responsibility for the front reception area.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will welcome guests and greet visitors entering the clinic.
- Sit at the FRONT DESK, coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls.
- Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g., pens, forms, brochures, etc.)
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email.
- Ability to multi-task and handle many incoming calls or patients at once.
- Chart Scanning
- Maintains appropriate set-up for the scanner to ensure optimal image results.
- Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries.
- Efficient and accurate typing & data-entry skills.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of medical clerical experience; preferably in a hospital or physician office/clinic setting, or prior experience in customer service.
- MS Office, Outlook
- Must possess excellent organizational skills, as well as effective human relations and communication skills.
- Document imaging or scanning experience is a plus.
- BLS certification
- TB Skin Test

- High School Diploma or GED
CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE
- BLS certification
KNOWLEDGE SKILS AND ABILITIES
- Working knowledge of medical terminology.
