As the first point of contact for our dental clinic , you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth operations at the Front Desk. Job Description
- Receive telephone calls, welcome patients, and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone.
- Make sure all patient registration forms are filled properly and the patient information is put in the EMR/Open Dental software accurately.
- Make sure to scan all the relevant patient documents in EMR system.
- Protects patient confidentiality, making sure protected health information is secured by not leaving PHI in plain sight and logging off the computer before leaving it unattended.
- Optimizes patients’ satisfaction, provides time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
- Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delays.
- Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area.
- Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
- Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collecting patient charges; controlling credit extended to patients; filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims.
- Verify insurances and keep record of all verification in patient charts and provide services accordingly
- Assists in facilitating insurance claims of patients.
- Updates information in patient records
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of reception area
- Provide prompt services to all patients.
- Adhere to policy and procedures during all activities.
- Communicate medical results to patients under clinical supervision.
- Complete accurate documentation of patient visits.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Other relevant duties and assignments given by supervisor.
Regulatory & Compliance:
· Ensures adherence to legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting OSHA, HIPAA, DOL, TWC and other regulatory bodies.
· Protects organization’s values by keeping information confidential.
· Maintains and comply organization and patient’s confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA/OSHA regulation and maintains honor and dignity of patients visiting the community clinic.
· Ensures compliance and adherence to the practice and the Ibn Sina Foundation’s management philosophy, and mission statements.
