The Micro-Kitchen Manager will focus on hospitality and the MK experience for the Google Food program in order to support operational excellence. This position reports into the Director of Micro-Kitchens and will leverage their strong hospitality and operational skills to ensure expectations are met, supervises associates, and supports with financial responsibilities such as ordering and inventory cost controls.
This role is based in New York, NY
Designs, manages and owns the overall MK experience
Sets an expectation of hospitality that is friendly and engaging
Meets all time lines for payroll, service, accounts receivables, human resources, corporate office and all other time lines given by our partner and management
Has a passion for hospitality
Hires, trains and supervises the daily conduct of the MK associates.
Helps conduct staff reviews, coaching sessions, and disciplinary actions.
Ensures that all hiring and training standards are met and documented for direct hires, including but not limited to new hire packet, employee/manager handbook sign off sheet, fact training completion, and safety training
Represents the company in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner in all customer, our partner, and employee interactions
Ensures that all comments and complaints are responded to within 24 hours
Interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly and service oriented manner
Communicates with the our partner honestly, accurately, and in a timely manner
Ensures that overall MK meets the standards as presented by the Director of Micro-Kitchens, as well as oversees the daily appearance and upkeep of the MK
Ensure smooth rotation of snack/drinks per MK
Communicate and coordinate changes with supervisors
Ensure smooth rotation of coffee, communicate and coordinate changes with supervisors
Has a minimum of 3 years applicable experience in a like volume and quality food service establishment
Possess general hospitality knowledge
Has the ability to operate Web based ordering systems, process customer requests, changes to orders, and our partner profiles
Manages time effectively and prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines
Ability to follow all Health & Safety standards
Demonstrates good judgment and decision making skills
Maintain a positive attitude under pressure and motivate team
Working knowledge of Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment
