II. Job Summary:
This position is responsible for aiding all MFIP staff in coordinating/providing employment services for Minnesota Family Investment Program participants. This position is also responsible for demonstrating a working knowledge of and ability to perform multiple documentation and data entry tasks. To perform this job successfully, you must be able to carry out each essential duty satisfactorily.
III. Core Job Functions:
The MFIP Case Aide performs a wide range of duties including but not limited to the following:
- MFIP Responsibilities
- Assist Employment Counselors in general case management, tracking participation hours, childcare documentation and forms, and other data entry as needed.
- Provide direct service to MFIP participants to assist in completion of Hennepin County childcare assistance applications, redetermination forms in coordination with Employment Counselor; as well as assisting with any other Hennepin County MFIP forms as needed.
- Effectively and respectfully communicate with Hennepin County program representatives. *
- Conduct MFIP Intake and provide participants with a solid overview of the program’s mission, goals, support services and requirements. *
- Effectively utilize external and internal databases (Workforce One, ECF, MEC2, ClientTrack, MAXIS) and meet 100% of State and County requirements. *
- Maintain effective case notes and case file documents in accordance with County, State, and agency guidelines. *
- Coordination of pre-employment, job/education coaching, and job placement
- Follow all HIPPA standards and ensure that client confidentiality is maintained in all settings.
- Provide translation services as needed.
- Complete MFIP follow ups in coordination with the MFIP Supervisor and Data Reporting and Evaluation team members.
- Integration of services and communication
- Ensure the overall integration and maintenance of participant caseloads in MFIP and all Emerge programming/opportunities available to participants.
- Work in coordination with Employment Counselors and MFIP Supervisors to complete administrative tasks including but not limited to: MFIP Referrals, terms, quarterly audits, ClientTrack data entry and corrections.
- Attend and participate in all program, site, and agency staff meetings.
- Perform any other tasks and duties necessary in order for the agency to meet its mission

IV. Position Requirements:
Education and Experience
- AA degree is human services or related field or equivalent combination of related experience and post-secondary education
- One year of work experience in employment & training, human services, and/or MFIP preferred.
- GCDF preferred, must obtain within one year of employment
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Workforce1 and/or ClientTrack experience a plus.

- Bilingual English/Somali preferred.
- Ability to travel between multiple agency locations.
- Valid MN Drivers’ License, access to reliable, insured transportation, and the ability to meet agency’s driving requirements including proof of insurance.
V. Working Conditions and Environment:
ECTC: Incumbent will have a private office/designated workspace in a typical office environment. The building is multiple floors and fully accessible and is smoke-free. Work will include regular local travel. Working hours are generally Monday through Friday, 8 am-5:00 pm, but will include occasional evening and weekend hours. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, sometimes loud.
