JOB SUMMARY
The Case Aide provides a variety of case management support and client support services to assist professional staff in the management of their caseloads under the direction of the unit supervisor.
This position provides support to children and families served in the Child and Family Department. The primary duties include providing transportation for clients, supervising visits between children and parents, and assisting families and/or completing necessary paperwork. This position will require a flexible schedule to work outside normal business hours at times to meet the needs of the families we serve.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducts and performs a variety of direct client services, depending upon program/unit assignment, to support professional staff in providing case management services to clients.
- Assists unit staff in the updating and maintenance of assigned unit case management files, records, reports or documentation requirements.
- Coordinates with local county, state, and out-of-state law enforcement, court administration, and social service agencies in processing background studies on individuals to ensure that a disqualifying factor does not exist.
- Manages the collection of background study and licensing fees, and maintains accurate records of fees collected.
- Collaborates with professional staff by attending meetings, sharing information and communicating with other staff concerning clients' needs, problems, and issues.
- Performs and attends meetings and seminars to learn, gain and acquire developmental and human service skills needed to carry out assignments and responsibilities.
- Performs other comparable duties of a like or similar nature as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualification:
- One year of experience working directly with clients in a human services/community services setting.
SCORED EXAMINATION PROCESS
All applications will be screened for minimum qualifications, scored and ranked. The highest ranked candidates meeting minimum qualifications will be recommended for the scored oral examinations (interviews). Final selection for the position will include successful completion of oral interview(s), reference checks, and background investigation.
