The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting individuals who have a disability to live in the community through providing direct support to individuals. Case Aides assist case managers with administrative activities related to Home and Community-based Services and managed care. Administrative tasks include but are not limited to: maintaining records, managing audits, assisting with preparation for MnCHOICES Assessments, data tracking and data entry.
Essential Functions
- Assists social workers and the social services divisions as needed.
- Performs data entry, clerical, and/or statistical functions relevant to the case management of social service programs as needed or requested.
- Assists with and provides direct services to clients.
- Attends community meetings, department staff meetings and job-related training events.
- Completes licensing assessments by following established state and local procedures and statutes.
- Performs related work as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- General knowledge of the principles and practices of public social service organizations
- General knowledge of applicable local, state and federal guidelines, manuals and forms
- General knowledge of government programs and other community resources
- General skill operating standard office equipment and utilize a computer proficiently
- Some knowledge of program software required for specific position.
- Ability to analyze data and exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to manage workload, organize and coordinate job activities, maintain accurate and organized records and meet deadlines
