Job Description
Position Summary:
A mature disciple of Jesus with competence and passion in creating and empowering an environment where vision, mission, values, and priorities are centralized and discipleship, initiative, and passion are encouraged in leadership thereby allowing for the full effect of Godly leaders to flourish.
Position Requirements:
- Develop strategic plan, goals & strategy in line with Rock Mission/Vision/Goals.
- Ensure all men are growing & engaged in the Discipleship Pathway.
- Plan/Lead Annual Conference & Seasonal Gatherings.
- Oversee/Lead Monthly Connects, Weekly Meet-ups, Family Nights, Prayer, and Service Projects.
- Recruit, equip, train, and lead Campus & Global Teams (Directors, Coordinators, Team Leads).
- Partner with Campus Pastors at each campus to support local engagement and ministry growth.
- Lead marketing/communication, recruiting, and engagement for ministry.
- Oversee men's discipleship program in partnership with Groups Pastor.
- Preach/Teach monthly at campuses monthly.
- Recruit/lead global volunteers for seasonal outreach service events.
- Develop strong engagement/connection with NextGen, meeting with them quarterly.
Leadership Experience
- Three to five years of experience in church or para-ministry environment preferred.
- Experience building and leading motivated, inspired, disciple-making people/teams that multiply.
- Evidence of effectively working within a complex, multi-dimensional/multi-cultural context.
Educational and Ministerial Experience
- B.S. or graduate degree in ministry, theology, organizational leadership, or similar field preferred.
- Licensed or ordained as a minister preferred.
Organizational and Spiritual Requirements:
- Demonstrate Christ-centered behavior at all times by treating people with dignity, respect, compassion and integrity.
- Utilize the principles of Matthew 18 and Ephesians 4:15 to resolve differences of opinion with others.
- Successful completion of a thorough pre-employment references and background checks, which includes: Social Security verification, Local, State & Federal criminal conviction records search, national security database, and sex offender registry.
- Attendance at all mandatory meetings and events. This includes serving at Good Friday, Easter and Christmas services as well as the annual volunteer appreciation event.
- Member of The Rock Church (or willing to transfer membership to The Rock Church).
- Regular involvement in The Rock Church activities, ministries and events.
- Tithe 10% to The Rock Church.
- Signed acknowledgment of The Rock Church’s Statement of Faith.
- Ability to interpret and adhere to the Rock’s policies, procedures and employee handbook.
- Be self-motivated and goal oriented, use good judgment and be flexible and innovative.
- Be consistent in displaying a professional attitude and demeanor.
Physical Requirements:
