A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SITE DIRECTOR
As a Site Director, you oversee all aspects of the Expanded Learning Programs at your site, designed to provide youth development opportunities for students to reach their full potential. You oversee a staff of both site leads and ELP staff. Your focus will be on the research and development of our staff by participating in site lead meetings, planning training activities, and assisting at promotional events. Collaborating with site team members, you develop engaging enrichment activities that expand students' skills and perspectives. You take the initiative in developing positive staff relationships, addressing staff issues in a timely manner, and resolving conflicts in a healthy way. You hold weekly staff meetings to provide professional development training as well as one-on-one meetings to provide mentoring and relationship-building.
By ensure supervision of all youth program activities during after-school hours, you create and maintain a safe and enriching environment for all staff and students. You ensure that the youth program activities are age-appropriate, appeal to a wide diversity of students, and comply with the standards of our company and the food and consumer safety section (FCSS). Committed to providing the best experience possible for all students, you review and approve lesson plans and ensure the student-to-staff ratio does not exceed 20:1.
Prompt and punctual, you ensure that all payroll information is accurately recorded and communicated to our company office on time. In order to ensure that spending and expenses are kept within budget parameters, you help develop a zero-based budget with our company administrators. Also, you ensure our company is kept up to date regarding student data, attendance, and test scores. When applicable, you ensure all student and staff discipline and safety issues are documented and corrective action is implemented. You find great satisfaction in providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for all of our students!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SITE DIRECTOR
Have you worked in an ELP setting for 4 years or more? Do you have ELP leadership experience? Do you have good organization and time management skills? Are you able to interact with others on a personal level? Do you enjoy coaching and mentoring others? Are you a leader who can demonstrate strong team-building skills by promoting collaboration, acting as a mentor for staff, and empowering others to learn, grow and advance? WORK SCHEDULE FOR A SITE DIRECTOR
This full-time position in youth development works Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day, following the academic calendar.
