Celebration Church is an evangelistic, Spirit-empowered church in Meadow Vista, California, that reaches people by teaching Jesus with creativity and excellence. With an emphasis placed on discipleship, Celebration is seeking a Part-TimeChildren’s director who will lead our children’s ministry to the next level.
The Children’s Director will be responsible for overseeing the growth, development, and execution of the children’s ministry at Celebration Church. This individual will always be looking for innovative and exciting new ways to reach, not only children, but also their families. The Children’s Director will communicate the culture and DNA of the church into the next generation, preparing them to lead and creating a unified ministry operated in sync with what is happening church-wide. The Sunday children’s Bible Land service will be a time to creatively reach the lost and develop the children as well as be a support for the families in the church.
GOALS AND EXPECTATIONS
The effective Celebration Children’s Director will creatively design children’s programming, with the main focus of curriculum preparation, volunteer recruiting and coordination and partnering with families to meet their children’s needs, as well as building systems to address and promote growth. The successful candidate will have leadership experience in a children’s ministry role. They will have demonstrated the ability to recruit, train, and empower other leaders, bring creative passion and ideas for reaching families, and have a strong desire to implement successful ministry initiatives.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working in a church setting and be committed to a high degree of innovation, recruitment, and retention of new members. A strong emphasis will be placed on practical ministry experience, and internships or apprenticeships may be accepted in place of formal education. Proven experience in creative thinking and problem solving is required. Successful work history in communication and leadership is a must.
Additionally, it is imperative for this candidate to have a high degree of effectiveness in developing and implementing systems and strategies. The successful candidate will have the ability to make a plan and see it through to completion. In sum, the successful candidate will be ready to take the lead and responsibility for the Celebration Children’s Ministry under the direction of the Senior Pastor from day one.
