General Job Description:

Next Chapter Church is seeking a Director of Children’s Ministry for our beautiful church in Carlsbad on Sunday mornings from approximately 9:30AM-12:30 PM. This person will lead the Children’s Ministry Program and would have previous experience in Children’s Ministry and a strong passion for it. 

They would be an effective communicator with creativity and innovation. They would also be a team player with spiritual maturity and the ability to create new programs to foster spiritual development for our youth

Responsibilities and Attributes:

• The Next Chapter Church Director of Children’s Ministries will implement the Ministry’s vision established by the Senior Pastor and Ministry leadership.
• As the Next Chapter Church’s Director of Children’s Ministries, we are looking for someone to lead with love and create memorable experiences that shape a lifetime.  Your role involves securing, developing and implementing engaging, fun and age appropriate curriculum, overseeing captivating events, and building a dedicated partner (volunteer) team.  Foster a sense of community and warm connections among children, parents and volunteers, creating an environment where faith flourishes.
• This person is well-spoken through email, phone calls, and face-to-face conversations.
• The Director of Children’s Ministries  should be able to connect intellectually with parents and volunteers, able to have meaningful conversations. This person is a problem solver, able to push through challenges with well-executed solutions
• This person doesn’t shy away from  “unplanned” inconveniences but recognizes that these are the moments that can matter more than the rest.
• The Director is aware of trends, culture, language, and what’s happening socially and responds appropriately.
