Medical Scheduler

USA Sleep Services is looking for a full time Medical Scheduler in our Odenton, MD office. Under general supervision, candidate is responsible for scheduling patient appointments and tests in an efficient and timely manner. Answers all incoming calls and directs calls to appropriate personnel. Serves as a liaison between patient and medical staff. Adheres to USA Sleep Policies and Procedures, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Essential Duties:

• Answers incoming calls; assess callers’ needs and directs to appropriate personnel.
• Monitors fax machine and uploads all data to EHR system
• Schedules new patients and return appointments in EHR system in accordance with office guidelines. Cancels/reschedules appointments according to schedule changes; notifies appropriate clinic personnel.
• Obtains and enters all authorization and correspondence relating to referrals in patients’ charts and computer.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Customer Service: 5 years (Preferred)
• Medical Scheduling: 5 years (Preferred)
