SalaryShannondale Health Care Center is seeking a Medical Records Technician.
Responsibilities:
· Organize and maintain Medical Records in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
· Review Medical Records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards.
· Ensure the confidentiality and security of all Medical Records and patient information.
· Assist with the release of Medical Records to authorized individuals or organizations as requested.
· Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure accurate documentation and record keeping.
· Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems, and healthcare regulations.
Qualifications: - Associates degree preferred.
· RHIT certification required.
· ICD-10 coding certification required.
· Previous experience working with Medical Records or in a medical office setting preferred.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems.
· Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic health record systems.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
