The Medical Records Specialist will handle all incoming and outgoing medical record requests in a timely fashion for the
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Respond to patient and physician requests, such as Medical Records, filing, and other tasks given.
- Ensure all requests are handled in a timely manner.
- Provide administrative support by assisting with the scanning, filing, and preparation of patient charts and records, telephone scheduling, mail/mail processing and other front/back-office functions as appropriate and necessary to practice operations.
- Categorize material for scanning
- Print and send Medical Records upon request
- Scan documents
- Import scanned documents into patients’ charts and task physicians as needed
- Import pdf faxes from the Right Fax into Document Management and into patients’ charts and task physicians as needed
- Import the ultrasound reports to Document Management and into patients’ charts and task physicians
- Connect documents and results from Clinical Message Manager to the correct patient
- Ensure non-patient files are deleted.
- Strive to meet all practice and Avina Women’s Care standards and policies for the collection of such payments and balances.
- Maintain professional and positive attitude and appearance at all times.
- Display active commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Avina Women’s Care.
- All other duties as assigned.
