We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Records Technician to join our team at Kingston Healthcare Company. Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain patients' Medical Records in accordance with privacy regulations and best practices.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and security of all Medical Records.
- Process and fulfill requests for Medical Records from authorized individuals and organizations.
- Assist in the coding and indexing of Medical Records for proper documentation and billing purposes.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the efficient and effective management of Medical Records.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems and other software for efficient record-keeping and retrieval.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Medical Records technician or in a similar role within a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, record-keeping procedures, and relevant privacy regulations (HIPAA, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of Medical Records.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other medical record software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals and handle patient inquiries.
- Certification in Health Information Technology (HIT) or related field is preferred.
