The Administrative Specialist I position is within the Client Information Department, reporting to the Administrative Lead/Record Supervisor. The Administrative Specialist I is assigned to the Infirmary Cottage. The position also provides coverage to other record areas as needed. The position supports record-related functions and will assist with the maintenance of an EHR system. The services provided all relate to medical record maintenance. Role requires:
- collaborating with internal/external providers
- maintaining various databases
- assisting with reporting needs of the facility
- typing, filing, data entry
- conducting record audits
- compiling statistics and reporting data in an appropriate format
- and on-going qualitative/quantitative record analyses.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm (flexible schedule).
This is a full-time position and eligible for the full State benefits package including health insurance, paid sick/vacation/holidays, retirement, etc.

Two-year degree in Health Information Technology/Administration; Medical Records experience, preferably in a developmental disability setting including knowledge of inpatient and outpatient records; formal training in medical terminology and anatomy & physiology; demonstrated ability to plan and work independently with minimal supervision.
