Medical Receptionist

Buglisi Eye Care is looking for a candidate that is driven, intrinsically motivated, organized, and has wonderful communication skills. The ideal candidates will have 1+ years of experience in a fast-paced multiple doctor office utilizing electronic medical records. You will be responsible for answering incoming phone calls for the clinic, greeting patients, creating and updating/verifying patient and insurance information in the computer system, collecting/explaining payment policies, and creating a positive experience for all of our patients!

Responsibilities:

• Checking patients in and out for their appointments
• Scheduling appointments and consistently going over the upcoming schedule for providers
• Verifying insurance benefit coverage
• Assisting patients to understand their insurance and out paperwork
• Answering and distributing incoming telephone calls
• Answer phones and greet patients in the waiting room.
• Have wonderful communication skills with patients, colleagues, and other medical professional
• Accurately scheduling cataract surgeries
• Handling referrals in and out of the office
• Triaging patients if they call with an emergency

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

Experience:

• Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
• Ophthalmology: 1 year (Preferred)
