Medical Receptionist For Front Desk

Pay: $18-$22 per hour. Spanish-speaking a plus.

Must be able to work in person in Pikesville, MD, 30-40 hours per week.

Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and personable individual to join our team as a Medical Office Receptionist. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients visiting our medical office, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. This role plays a vital part in ensuring smooth operations within the office environment, maintaining efficiency, and upholding our commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Manage incoming calls, screen and direct them appropriately, providing information or taking messages as needed.
• Schedule patient appointments accurately, ensuring efficient use of physician's time and proper coordination with other staff members.
• Verify patient information and insurance details, update records, and ensure all necessary forms are completed.
• Assist patients with completing necessary paperwork and forms.
• Handle patient inquiries and concerns promptly and courteously, escalating issues to the appropriate staff members when necessary.
• Follow privacy and confidentiality guidelines in handling patient information.
• Adhere to office policies and procedures, contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Assist with administrative tasks as necessary.

Experience:

- Previous experience in a Medical Receptionist or similar role is preferred

- Familiarity with medical administrative support tasks and procedures

- Strong knowledge of office equipment and computer systems

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Spanish and English preferred.

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping

- Professional demeanor and customer service-oriented approach
