Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. The ideal candidate will have experience with phone systems, administrative tasks, and have a strong understanding of medical terminology.

Responsibilities:
- Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out process
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Assist medical staff with basic clinical tasks as needed

Skills:
- Proficiency in using phone systems and handling multiple incoming calls
- Experience with electronic health record systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for administrative tasks
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a medical office (preferred)
