Medical Receptionist

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support and ensuring smooth operations in our medical office. Your primary responsibility will be to greet patients, schedule appointments, and assist with various administrative tasks.

Duties
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate staff member
- Collect patient information and update electronic medical records
- Verify insurance coverage and assist with insurance claims processing
- Assist with billing and payment collection
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Coordinate patient referrals to other healthcare providers as necessary

Requirements
- Proven experience in medical administrative support or similar role
- Strong administrative skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of medical office procedures and terminology
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or eClinicalWorks is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Experience working with phone systems and handling high call volumes
